The Rip 492 Boot is a basic boot pass that all Wing T teams use off sweep action. The wrinkle that our team adds is that we like to use our motion man to seal the DE inside.
This allows our QB to regularly break containment and gives him ample time to scan the field, read the defense and decide on the best pass or run option.
A good variation that's also been successful for us is to have the WR break off his clearing route for a comeback and then have the TE break deep up the hash mark.
