The sprint draw is one of our best plays and it's also one of the easiest to block. It doesn't require brute strength or massive players and it allows your TB to run underneath stunts from the edge. We've found that this play is most effective when run to the 3-technique side. It's particularly effective against Will LBs who like to fill quickly across in an attempt to thwart a Power-G running play. The play-side OG fan-blocks outside. If he has a 2-tech on him, he should block him head-on; if the player stunts inside to the A-gap, have him push him past the center. If the 2-tech stunts to the B-gap, then do nothing (that's where you want him). If he's facing a 1-tech, then he pass-sets inside. The play-side OT fan-blocks to the outside. The center and backside OG work together to block the DL and inside LB. The backside OT pass-sets, then allows the DE to rush outside.
The FB takes a veer step toward the B-gap, then turns upfield and attacks the outside half of the Mike LB. If the Mike LB stunts, he must immediately cut him. The TB shuffles laterally two steps, then presses the LOS behind the FB, keeping his eyes on the backside NT. If there's an open window behind the FB, then the TB follows him. But if the NT crosses the midline, then he looks to cut to the backside.
